Sony's PS5's price maybe offecially revealed by Hiroki Totoki

Sony’s latest investors discussion reveals that affordability is the key when it comes to pricing their next gen console.

Gossipy tidbits about the cost of Sony's up and coming PlayStation 5 console have been doing the rounds for some time now, with proposals that it could go somewhere in the range of £450 to £860, however the most recent authority Sony financial specialist call has revealed more insight into the forthcoming cost, and it appears that the it could arrive on the more reasonable side all things considered.

Sony's chief financial officer, Hiroki Totoki, touched on the holiday 2020 launch window saying it's the “most important step in developing the PlayStation platform.” A December release could certainly bolster sales of the console, with big ticket items like a shiny new console making its way under the tree in households that may not usually be early adopters, but are splashing out for the festive season.

He went on to say that the profitability of the PS5 will, of course, depend on its price. The bigger the markup, the bigger the profit for shareholders and the like, but an eye-wateringly high price point could see the existing PS4 install base hang on to its current gen consoles for a little while longer.

Totoki-san explained that Sony is "analyzing the cost, the acceptable price in the market, and platform penetration,” all of which seems to indicate that the company has set its sights on making the PS5 affordable enough that it'll be off to a running start, rather than being so expensive as to leave gamers hesitant to fork out for the upgrade to next gen. He added that Sony is still “very conscious of the level of profit for investors and for the marketplace.”

With the possibility of two PS5 consoles launching side-by-side, offering up a pro version alongside a base model, Sony could position the cheaper option as an affordable step up for the majority of people, while the pro version could be sporting a much higher price. But given the specs already revealed for the console, it's difficult to see what a more expensive version could offer.

Either way, we're just pleased that it's looking more and more likely that the PS5 will launch for under £500, and that we can maybe persuade someone else to pick up the bill - it will be Christmas after all

Should You Buy a Nintendo Switch Lite?

Should You Buy a Nintendo Switch Lite?

Nintendo Just Announced a Mid cycle new version of the much popular Nintendo Switch to a new version which is a $100 cheaper than the flagship Nintendo switch. Here in this article we are going to be exploring the reasons to consider buying Nintendo switch or not!

For starters here is a bit of history of Nintendo switch, it all started after Nintendo realized that their latest game console Wii u is a total utter failure, which did really bad Nintendo did not just had problems selling consoles, it’s the very first time where Nintendo faced such a failure Wii u in its entire life span only sold a measly 13.5 million units and no third party game developer’s were willing to port over their new games. Wii u was meant to compete with ps4 and Xbox one but barely had hardware that was a bit faster than ps3 and Xbox 360 which were almost more than a half a decade old. Not to mention public confusion regarding Wii u a lot of people thought Wii u was an expensive addons for the Wii, because of Nintendo’s terrible marketing division.

Fast forward to 3rd March of 2017, Nintendo released Nintendo switch which was a complete success. Suppressing a lot analyst that suggested that Nintendo switch will be a failure too.

Again, fast forward to 2019 Nintendo announced another version of switch is called Nintendo switch lite which comes in three different colors (Yellow, Gray, turquoise, Pokémon and shield editions):

Nintendo Switch With All Available Colors at launch!
Nintendo Switch lite all colors.

And which is going to be a bit lighter 9.8 ounces compared to OG switch’s 14.1 ounces, and the screen is going to have a smaller screen 5.5 inch compared 6.2 inches, which is going to run only Nintendo switch games that support handheld mode, and Nintendo suggests its going to have slightly improved battery life.

Now, should you buy Nintendo Switch lite?  I would suggest you, to hold your horses buddy. Nintendo switch lite is not all sunshine and rainbows. There is a small cavoite, Nintendo switch has games that only work when you dock your switch:

Here is the list of games that do not support handheld games:

·        Super Mario Party.
·        1-2-Switch.
·        Nintendo Labo/Labo/Vr.
·        Just Dance (any version).
·        Fitness boxing.

And other games that requires you to detaching the joycons, than you would require you to buy a new pair of joycons so you could be able to play these games!

Now if you are a person who’s constantly (students , travelling ,..etc ) on the move I would suggest getting the switch lite over the flagship switch.
