Should You Buy a Nintendo Switch Lite?

Should You Buy a Nintendo Switch Lite?

Nintendo Just Announced a Mid cycle new version of the much popular Nintendo Switch to a new version which is a $100 cheaper than the flagship Nintendo switch. Here in this article we are going to be exploring the reasons to consider buying Nintendo switch or not!

For starters here is a bit of history of Nintendo switch, it all started after Nintendo realized that their latest game console Wii u is a total utter failure, which did really bad Nintendo did not just had problems selling consoles, it’s the very first time where Nintendo faced such a failure Wii u in its entire life span only sold a measly 13.5 million units and no third party game developer’s were willing to port over their new games. Wii u was meant to compete with ps4 and Xbox one but barely had hardware that was a bit faster than ps3 and Xbox 360 which were almost more than a half a decade old. Not to mention public confusion regarding Wii u a lot of people thought Wii u was an expensive addons for the Wii, because of Nintendo’s terrible marketing division.

Fast forward to 3rd March of 2017, Nintendo released Nintendo switch which was a complete success. Suppressing a lot analyst that suggested that Nintendo switch will be a failure too.

Again, fast forward to 2019 Nintendo announced another version of switch is called Nintendo switch lite which comes in three different colors (Yellow, Gray, turquoise, Pokémon and shield editions):

And which is going to be a bit lighter 9.8 ounces compared to OG switch’s 14.1 ounces, and the screen is going to have a smaller screen 5.5 inch compared 6.2 inches, which is going to run only Nintendo switch games that support handheld mode, and Nintendo suggests its going to have slightly improved battery life.

Now, should you buy Nintendo Switch lite?  I would suggest you, to hold your horses buddy. Nintendo switch lite is not all sunshine and rainbows. There is a small cavoite, Nintendo switch has games that only work when you dock your switch:

Here is the list of games that do not support handheld games:

·        Super Mario Party.
·        1-2-Switch.
·        Nintendo Labo/Labo/Vr.
·        Just Dance (any version).
·        Fitness boxing.

And other games that requires you to detaching the joycons, than you would require you to buy a new pair of joycons so you could be able to play these games!

Now if you are a person who’s constantly (students , travelling ,..etc ) on the move I would suggest getting the switch lite over the flagship switch.
